Very clean custom Kona Blue GT500 for sale. Just turned 17k miles. Garage keptwith factory car cover. The car is lowered 1.5 inches and has new Koni strutsand new shocks. The car handles like a champ and sits level. The rear suspensionis all BMR and was installed and aligned by a professional suspension shop. Wheels are Forgestar custom wide wheels. The wheels were built to order by HoweyIndustries. Tires all have less than 1000 miles. Exhaust is custom with American Racing long tube catless H pipe headers andaftermarket I also installed a mini led shift light on theleft pillar. The car sounds awesome! Cruising with the top down is a blast! Iinstalled a new Spec clutch with a billet flywheel in preparation for a massivehorsepower jump that I didn't do. I installed a larger Ford Racing throttlebody and smaller pulley on the blower. There is a noticeable boost toperformance over stock. The car has a Lund tune and comes with the SCT tuner. The snake has passed Texas inspection twice since the mods weredone with no problems. The car has never been to the track, never been on thedyno. Strictly my Sunday ride with a back seat in the sun for the kiddo's. The are some small blemishes in the factory stripe from road debris, picavailable on request. There is a tiny "smudge" in the paint on the left rearfender. This car isawesome and wicked fast. It gets compliments every time I drive it. This began as a stock Shelby GT500 and it has been turned into a race car! Capable of speeds approaching 200 MPH, turning only 2500 RPM at 100 MPH in 6th. Very stable at high speeds and handles excellent! Has brand new MickeyThompson SS Radials on the rear so the car can be controlled. And this new SSmodel is also safe in the rain. I made a trip out to Vegas and averaged about110 MPH! Get the latest radar detector! Has all options shown above plusNavigation, Sirius XM radio, and voice commands. The attached dyno plots show before and after. At 1000 RPMthe standard 650HP engine was putting out 595 HP and 580 lb/ft of torque to therear wheels. After the mods and dyno tuning the power at the rear wheels is 682HP and 698 lb/ft of torque! An increase of about 100 on each number! Given the50 HP lost in the drive trai.

Comoptions:description:this is a second owner vehicle that i purchased in 1972. The car had 75,000 miles when purchased. At 90,000 the engine threw a rod and it was replaced with a ford, gpd long block. The car currently has 112,500 original miles and was last registered in 1979. The vehicle has been in storage since 1979. The car has been restored in the last year. The engine has been tuned and has a rebuilt holly 4 bbl carburetor. The vehicle has a new white paint and numerous new emblems and trim pieces. The weatherstripping with the exception of the top has all been replaced. The interior was redone with new upholstery, door panels, kick panels, carpeting, and all new window and door handles inside and out. The rear springs have been re-arched and all new bushings and rear shock absorbers have been installed. The brake shoes, all springs, wheel cylinders and master cylinder have been rebuilt or replaced with new. The car has new brake hoses front and rear. The front sway bar bushings have been replaced and the car has rechromed bumpers. The dash panel has new chrome reveals and lenses and the gauge needles have been restored to the original color. The only damage was a dent in the left rear quarter panel that was repaired prior to my purchasing the car and a small dent in the valance in front of the hood that was repaired in 1974. This car has been in california since it was manufactured at the san jose assembly plant in 1957. The body and undercarrage are solid and rust free. The top works flawlessly.
