This is a private party sell. This isa reserve auction. This is a very rare - letter a vin # car witch premium carb. It also has the rare 4-spd manuel #'s matching! This is the 2nd generation of ford ranchero's and 64'-65' arevery rare years as this was the only two years of this particular body style. Itwas a shared platform with the also rare ford falcon. In fact most parts arefound by using the name falcon ranchero. After this each new generation ofranchero's got larger and larger, sharing platforms with ford's largercars. Many collectors prefer these smaller bodied ranchero's especially the64'-65's. 1965 was also the first year ford switched to an alternatorfrom a generator system. 1965 also marked the first year ford switched from a260 v8 to the 289-v8. This car has been restored to be better than original inmany ways. Avery stunning combination! It also has custom plush new upholstery which is muchmore comfortable and inviting than the original vinyl. The pickup bed was alsosprayed with a line type material to make it useful and more durable. It wasalso upgraded substantially with a custom built, h. I do havethe complete number's matching 289-v8 to go along with it - every partright down to the factory air cleaner is included! (crated-see pictures) thereis also a hurst 4-spd upgrade shifter with much more positive shifting than theoriginal factory setup. The original owner installed an aluminum intake, 600 holley with automatic choke, kick down, and solenoid for the idle up when the air is on. He also installed chrome valve covers and breather. The car was faded from sitting under his carport so he took it to a friend of mine that has a professional paint and body shop and had the car painted back the original color, all the trim has been redone including the bed top moldings. The car has never been wrecked, had anything hauled in the bed, nor has been smoked in. No rust ever, everything works except the clock. I dont think there are many left out there as nice as this car.
