Take a look at the lines on this beauty, what an amazing looking custom thunderbird. This beauty is one nice driving rig and is in great shape. This 1965 ford thunderbird has the original, code "z" 390 cid v8 in it and it has been completely rebuilt including hardened valve seats for unleaded fuel and is running very well. The original exhaust manifolds with new dual exhaust system sounds awesome. The engine is backed by a three speed automatic transmission and a 9 inch rear-end both of which function very well. This thunderbird is nicely equipped including, factory heavy duty power disc brakes, factory gauge package (all working), custom dual color-matched sport exterior mirrors with driver's remote, good heater and defroster, working sequential rear blinkers, fender mounted front turn indicators, led interior lights (not working) haven't had a chance to look at it but will fix before shipment. This thunderbird is a great running and wonderful looking car. This 1965 ford thunderbird has good looks and great power as well ! These vehicles have an appreciative group of owners any of which would be pleased to own this one. The suspension and drive line are in good working order as is the electrical system. I thought i would include the following text from the owner; “i purchased this thunderbird after my wife had passed away; it was my dream car ever since i was a child. The car needed a lot of work and i am no mechanic, so i had to rely on a lot of help. I made the decision to not bring the car back to original since there at the time were so many of this style in the local thunderbird club. As i said i was not a mechanic and so once i had people started working on the car it was going to need a lot of work i had not planned on. It took five years to bring it to where it is now. I have had a lot of people work on this car. There was xx the owner of xx automotive shop who did mechanical work, he also rebuilt the engine which has less than two thousand miles on it. I had xxx auto body finish the body work and paint. Plus other shops like the interior for example. This car gets a lot of looks, especially on a good sunny day. It really pains me to sell this car for which is a symbol of my loving wife xx, i still wanted to complete the restoration of it. Due do any injury to my back about three years ago, i do not get the enjoyment of driving my thunderbird any more. I really wish the person who buys the car will start a new tradition and make it part of their lives, add and continue to make improvements on it and have it last for years to come. “ this t-bird is a great investment opportunity and it is priced right! This classic bird is in good condition from top to bottom and from front to back. It will not disappoint someone looking for a clean example of a sought after and hard to find collector car that is not seen at every day for sure. The inside of the trunk has some diamond plate material it and looks great. The original grill, and hood scoop grill, taillight surrounds, headlight bezels are all custom power-coated and even the original ford lenses are in great shape with no cracking or fading. The front and rear bumpers are color-matched. The suspension has all been re-done. Check out the nice original steel wheels chameleon metal flaked and chrome center caps with nice steel belted radial tires boy does this combination look outstanding on this bird and gives it that hot rod look! This vehicle is in great mechanical condition and it runs and drives very well. I drove this bird over 100 miles in town and on the freeway and it goes 70-75 mph no problem with plenty of pedal left. This bird runs and drives great. The amount of looks and “thumbs-up” i get in this car is equal to any car of truck i have ever owned, this is one good looking car. This vehicle is in great condition. I looked underneath and also included photos below. As always i tried to get as thorough and in depth with the photographs as possible. This one came out of a small collection in western washington. Excellent body and paint and yes, rust free. It's wearing a top tier paint job that is free from signs of lesser paint jobs that we have all seen. No tape lines, no orange peel and no fish eyes in the clear coat. The door and trunk seals are new and all the trim was taken off prior to paint. The interior is in excellent condition with a very nice two tone bench seat. We just finished completely restoring the power windows. New tracks and guides and regulators. Needless to say the power windows function. Working gauges including the clock. During the restoration the body was stripped to bare metal, most of the interior is brand new, brand new convertible top was installed, motor was completely rebuilt, brakes were redone with disc's up front, new ball joints and brand new Coker wide whitewall steel belted radial tires were put on. The car was recently restored by T-Birds West in Corvallis, Oregon and has been driven only 122 miles since the restoration was completed . I say VERY RARE because they only made 5,049 Thunderbird Convertibles in 1966 Bucket Seats
